How to Grow Good Flat Leaf Parsley
- Soil & Site: Fertile, moist but well-drained soil in full sun to partial shade.
- Sowing: Sow direct or in trays from early spring. Cover seeds lightly (5 mm). Thin seedlings to 15–20 cm apart.
- Care: Keep consistently moist – parsley loves water. Mulch to retain moisture and suppress weeds. Feed occasionally with a balanced fertiliser.
- Harvest: Pick outer leaves as needed once plants are established. Regular harvesting encourages new growth. Parsley is biennial and may flower in its second year.
- Tip: Soak seeds in warm water for 24 hours before sowing to speed up germination.
