How to Grow Good Valerian

- Care: Keep well-watered, especially in the first year. Mulch to retain moisture. Divide mature plants every 3–4 years.
- Harvest: Dig roots in autumn of the second or third year for strongest potency. Flowers can be picked for arrangements or drying.
- Tip: Valerian is a hardy perennial that returns reliably each spring.
