Why Landrace Celery?
We plant a diverse mix of celery types and save seed only from the strongest, best-flavored, and most productive plants that perform well in our garden. This ongoing selection process creates a resilient landrace that adapts better to real growing conditions than many standard varieties.
While plants and stalks may show some natural variation (as is typical with landraces), you’ll get celery that is noticeably more robust and reliable. These have grown really well for us, producing crisp, flavorful stalks with excellent garden performance.
Celery can be slow growing in cooler climates, give it plenty of water and time to get those big juicy stalks in the cooler seasons.

How to grow:
Sow into trays in early spring or autumn, press into the surface and don’t cover. Keep moist. Plant out once 5cm high at 30cm spacing. Celery is a heavy feeder and likes plenty of moisture once established.
