Coriander Seed – Slow to Bolt Landrace
$4.00
Longer Harvests, Better Flavour
Enjoy extended harvests of fresh, aromatic coriander (cilantro) with our Slow to Bolt Landrace Coriander.
Why Landrace Coriander?
We grow a diverse mix of coriander varieties and carefully save seed only from the plants that resist bolting the longest while maintaining excellent flavour and vigour. Through multiple generations of selection, we’ve developed a landrace that stays productive far longer than standard varieties.
This means more leafy growth before flowering, giving you a significantly extended harvest window. As with all landraces, plants show natural variation but are generally more robust and resilient in garden conditions.

How to Grow Good Coriander
- Soil & Site: Well-drained, fertile soil in full sun to partial shade. Avoid very hot, dry spots.
- Sowing: Sow direct in succession every 2–3 weeks from early spring through autumn. Cover seeds lightly (5 mm). Thin to 10–15 cm apart.
- Care: Keep soil consistently moist – dry conditions trigger bolting. Mulch to retain moisture and cool the roots.
- Harvest: Begin picking outer leaves when plants are 10–15 cm tall. Regular harvesting encourages more growth.
- Tip: For best results with this slow-to-bolt landrace, provide afternoon shade in hot summers and sow in cooler periods.
If you leave the last of the plants to flower and set seed, it will naturally regrow in situ when the conditions are right.
